Hermione bit the inside of her lip and shook her head. She didn't like arguing with Ron, not with everyone fighting amongst themselves. "You don't think Azkaban is bad enough, the dementors constantly sucking up any good memories they might have had once upon a time. They would be driven insane with no hope, poor Malfoy would be the rich prat he is and even the dirt in each cell would drive him insane by the end of the week. Mental torture." Hermione tried to reason with him, thinking herself quite brilliant for thinking of it actually. She hadn't even had to lie, it was all true. Though, they'd have to round up all the dementors again for it to happen.
Ron threw his arm around her and Hermione moved closer to him. She closed her eyes and hooked her around his ankle, without quite putting her leg over his. Perhaps she would later, but she needed to go slow...or maybe she was doing this for Ron's sake. She was waiting to see how Ron reacted before she did anything else. "I thought you were tired." Hermione looked up under her lashes, yawning herself. She had mentioned it, and therefor it reminded her of her own sluggishness. Great...

"If it were still functioning, sure, but wouldn't you enjoy getting Malfoy back for all the times he called you names?" Ron wasn't a particularly aggressive person, but it was hard to forget all of the "Weaselbys" and poor jokes that had been lobbed his way. The truth was, as much as Ron might dream of it, if he was ever given the opportunity he wouldn't go for it- he really wasn't as bad as Malfoy deep down.
Ron didn't seem to mind her move, judging by the fact he only opened his eyes in response, taking in her face. "I am." He said quietly, reaching out to touch her hair and push it away from her face. "You are too." He said, sounding amused. It was hard to tell what he was thinking, because he just smiled peacefully. "I love you, Hermione."

"A name is only a name, Ronald. It was us who let it get to us, because if we hadn't what would he have been hurting?" Hermione moved closer, laying a hand on his chest. "Though, I won't deny it's a slightly appealing thought, but we both know neither of us really have it in us to really torture someone like they have. " Hermione smiled at him, her brown eyes looking into his blue ones. It was true, Malfoy had hurt her with his words on numerous occasions. He had made fun of not only her, but Ron and Harry. Then there was also the poor helpless creatures he made fun of, someone who couldn't defend themselves in the proper way.
Hermione was frozen, and Ron moved her hair away from her face. She took deep breathes, in and out, in and out. The action wasn't intimate in any means, but it was loving. He mentioned her sleepiness, and Hermione shrugged. "It was a long day." She answered, smiling back at him. "I love you too, Ron." Hermione said, and really couldn't understand but she could feel a small amount of water in her eyes. Tears? Hermione hugged Ron and placed her forehead on his chest. "I love you so much." Hermione felt very vulnerable right now, she was used to keeping her emotions inside.

Ron blinked when she suddenly moved closer to him, resting her head on his chest. He yawned, stroking her hair. "I love you too, Hermione." He said, slightly baffled at the change of her tone. He couldn't see her face, but he could feel the change in her. "What's wrong?" He asked softly, concern in his voice. He had been close to Hermione for eight years now- eight years, and you began to develop the ability to read someone very easily. Hermione wasn't telling him something, something that was bothering her, and the idea troubled him.
"What's wrong, Hermione? I'm right here, I'm not going anywhere." He wondered if this had anything to do with the conversation they had had earlier at the bar. Was he pushing her too much by putting his arm around her? How many times had the two just sat in silence on her couch and cuddled after Harry had gone, longing simply to be together, to touch each other and feel warm skin, to not feel alone? Ron was baffled, this was a bit out of his league. "Hey, talk to me."

Hermione laughed softly, and closed her eyes. The tears were happy tears, but then this was Ronald Weasley she was talking about. "It's nothing Ron, I'm just...not good at really expressing my feelings." She nestled herself herself closer, and yawned again. "I got so used to keeping them inside, it's weird but relieving them just to tell you. " Hermione relaxed against him and smiled to herself. "I try and keep it to myself, but sometimes it just spills out. Like when I hugged Harry and everyone thought we were dating." Hermione winced as she said Harry's name, but she had to get over this. Which reminded her, had Ron noticed the picture of the three of them that was on her nightstand? It was just Ron, Harry and Hermione together, laughing at the camera. Would it trouble him?
Hermione let her leg wrap around his legs, pulling him closer. "Talking, we need to be sleeping." Hermione smiled and kissed his chest. "Nothing is wrong, love." She whispered, pulling back so he could see that she really was alright. "See?" A single tear fell down her cheek despite her smile and she shook her head and brushed it away. "I can't believe I'm crying at a moment like this, I'm just...I love you so much and this is the real first time we've been together without being depressed all the time."

"Girls are so strange." Ron said, partially sitting up to get a better look at her. "Why cry when there's nothing to cry about?" He asked, blinking. He shook his head, the concept of happy tears was lost on him, no matter who was doing it.
He leaned down slightly and kissed her, taking her face in his hand. "See? Nothing to cry about." He lay back down, pulling her close again. He couldn't swear to it, but he was going to do his best to make sure that Hermione never had to cry again.
"Night, 'Mione." He said softly, holding her close. It didn't take long for him to start snoring next to her, still holding on tightly to her.
He was still asleep when she woke up in the morning, curled up peacefully on his side. His hair was sticking up all over the place, and he had one arm over her and the other over his face, as if to block the sun that would soon rise from waking him up.

Hermione laughed softly at Ron, talking about how strange girls were. Ah, but men would always say that about women. He leaned down and kissed her lips, and Hermione did her best to kiss back before he pulled away. He held her close, so she really didn't mind. In fact, she snuggles closer to him even thought there was no real way to be closer. Ron usually fell asleep fast when he wanted to, and Hermione just laid there for a moment before closing her eyes. Though, her mind rarely let her go to sleep instantly. It raced with possibilities in the future, ideas for their new apartment, and even a few 'visions' of what life may hold for them in the future. Hermione wasn't sure when she went to sleep, she had just sort of drifted to sleep.
Hermione woke slowly, one half of her mind telling her it was time to get up and another telling her that her alarm hadn't gone off yet...She should have more time to sleep. Hermione could tell that hairs were sticking out of her braid, several of them everywhere. She didn't move, instead she laid her head against Ron's chest listening to his heartbeat. When it was clear she wasn't going to get any more sleep, Hermione slowly lifted his arm up off her and slipped out of bed slowly. She looked at the clock, she had about five minutes until it went off.
She smiled despite herself and got ready for work herself. A simple white collared button down shirt and black skirt that fell to her knees, couple that with a pair of comfortable shoes that had seen it's better days and all Hermione had left was her hair. She had about three minutes still, she went into the bathroom and laughed at herself. As always, her hair looked quite...unappealing. She was glad that Ron was such a sound sleeper, so she wouldn't have him see her with her hair in such disarray. She let it fall out and brushed it out like a muggle, which took up those three minutes like a starved man with food.
Hermione ran over to the alarm clock and hit the button for it to stop, the hairbrush stuck in her hair. She still had to make Ron his breakfast! Hermione continued brushing her hair as she stared at Ron for a moment, but he seemed to still be asleep to her to she went back into the bathroom to finish getting ready. Hermione made sure that all her hair was brushed before using magic to tie it up in a high pony tail. A few strands around her face were too short to be put in the tail, but it seemed alright to her.
Creeping out of the bathroom, Hermione went into her living room/kitchen. She went and looked in her fridge and pulled out some eggs and bacon. Placing them on the counter, Hermione got out of frying pan and first cooked up the bacon. After the bacon was done, she placed a simple heated charm on it to keep it warm before cooking up some eggs for the both of them. She put his few on another place and a couple on hers. She put toast in the toaster and went to wake Ron up. Crawling back into bed, she kissed his lips softly. "Ron, time to get up." She said softly at first, wondering how long it was actually going to take him to get up.

Ron had always been notoriously hard to wake up, and when he heard someone saying his name, he simply put his arm over his head. He hated morning, and would do anything to not have to get out of bed where it was warm and comfortable to go to work.
It wasn't really Hermione's voice that got him to open his eyes, but like a true male, it was the smell of food. As a child, Ron had often woke up to his mother's cooking, and the aroma of breakfast was pretty much the only thing ever guaranteed to get him moving anywhere fast in the morning.
"Morning, 'Mione." He yawned, clearly still half asleep as he ran his hand through his already messy hair. "You look nice." He said after a moment of staring at her blearily. "What's for breakfast?"

"Thank you." Hermione smiled at him, and leaned in to press a kiss to his forehead. "You'll just have to get off that lazy ass of yours and come see now won't you?" She said, hoping that it would help it out of bed. She slide off the bed and flipped the blanket off of him and sighed. "I let you sleep in some, so there is no time to waste." Hermione went and put the toast on the plate and wondered if she needed to go back in there. Mostly likely she would have to, and Hermione knew a couple things that would certainly wake him up in the morning. "Ron, come on. You don't want all this food to go to waste now do you?" Hermione looked at the door to her bedroom as she waited for Ron to either walk out or begin to store again.
