When it rained, it didn't just pour in Audrey's life- it became a damned hurricane.
It was her night to patrol for the order, to see if they could gather information about what the death eaters were up to. It was a job that she had to repeat usually once every two weeks, and her usual partner in crime was was Lillian Bodesworth- a quirky little thing, but generally harmless. Tonight, however, Lillian was gone, out of the country to deal with personal issues of some sort (they weren't close enough for Audrey to know the details,) and instead, she had shown up to Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes around ten pm, curious to see who the replacement was.
She was holding a paper cup of hot tea, sniffling as she pulled her cloak tighter. It was the nasty period where autumn turned into winter, and Audrey felt like she wouldn't be properly warm until spring. She already felt a cold coming on.
All right, hurry up. She mentally ordered her new partner, looking around. It was pitch black outside, only streetlamps illuminating anything. The sooner she was at home in bed, the happier she would be.

Percy had not seen Audrey since, well that time at the Ministry. He even began avoiding the Department of Mysteries at all cost. He didn't want a reminder of how stupid he had acted or how some stupid potion could make him act so..not Percy like.
He had no clue who he was partnered with this time. He hoped it was someone like George or Ron, even Hermionie would be better then what would be in store for him as he rounded the corner coming up to the Weasley Wizard Wheezes he spotted Audrey.
Bloody Hell, he thought as he began walking closer. Only if this hadn't happened. He just did not want any reminder of crap. And he didn't trust Audrey, not after the way she spoke to him. He wasn't used to people actually standing up to him. "Hello," he said like nothing was the matter, even if it was very false indeed.

"Oh." Audrey responded, blinking at him. She hadn't expected to come face to face with Percy Weasley, and she stared up at hi, well aware of his height compared to hers. It was rare that Audrey paid such attention to how much her company towered over her, but she felt like she was always hyper alert around Percy.
"So... shall we?" She asked quietly, looking away. She could feel the blood rushing to her face, and she blamed it on the cold, but deep down, she knew it was a lie. She wasn't going to mention their unfortunate encounter from the week previous, and she was more than willing to be civil as long as Percy was.
"Um... how are you?" She asked stiltedly, cramming her hands in her pockets and staring down at the cobblestones.

Percy stared up and into the distance away from her. "Sure," he said as he nodded and began to walk. He never really liked doing these, but of course he had to up and say he'd be an order member and well, here he was.
He wasn't a man of two many words, if you had a hello that was strange enough. He just shrugged at her question and continued on down the pathway. He expecially wanted to keep an eye on his family store.
He refused to have two more brothers get hurt on his watch. It would cause more pain then the last time.

Audrey had to speedwalk to keep up to with Percy's longer strides, and her curls bounced with the effort. She was strongly regretting having nothing on her but her wand to throw at him. It wasn't her fault that he had had such a strong reaction to the smell of amortentia, why was he acting like it was?
"I find it highly ironic," She growled at him, "That you claim not to hate me, but you treat me like I'm the scum off of your shoe or something." She didn't know why she cared, but Percy's indifference- even coldness- really stung her, and she felt she would deal with it better if she knew exactly what it was she had done to piss him off in the first place.
"Look, can't we just talk about the other day?" She asked, stopping in front of him.

As Percy walked all he could think about was his own family and how they were putting targets on there backs.
What Audry said had broken past his thinking and made him stop and think twice before speaking. "I am not treating you like scum," he said quite blankly. "I am thinking about something. I'm not just going to talk when there is other things to think about."
He said this before beginning to walk again, but he only got less then a foot away before stopping. "I rather not talk about that. It is not something I am proud of."

Audrey nearly slammed into Percy as he stopped, and she pulled herself short, blinking. "You... Urgh." There was no words for him, really, he was driving her absolutely mad. One minute he seemed fine, the next he was trying to make her life a living hell. She wanted to shake him.
"Then what do you call it?" She demanded, placing her hands on her hips. "If this is you being friendly, I hope I'm never an enemy."
She paused at his last comment, tilting her head slightly. What was that supposed to mean? "I... beg pardon?"
((sorry it sucks, I'm exhausted.))

Percy looked back at her and was close to just punching her. But that would be rude and he was definatly not that. "I sure hope you don't either," he said softly. He really didn't mind her, she just seemed to be...well way to unorderly and annoying.
He wasn't sure what his comment meant either. It was a mixture of different feelings. "I wasn't thinking straight, and I'm not proud of it," he said. After tons of thought, that sentence was the one that would make him seem less...jumbled.
"Let's go," he said before walking again. That was the end of the conversations, at least he hoped it was.
