Kathleen's old owl Fluffy had died the other day. She had loved Fluffy and had her since she first started Hogwarts. But she was looking foward to picking out a new owl.
Normally she wouldn't care to get owls and things but it was her only communication method with her brother and that was important. So she pushed the door to the emporium open and smiled as she stared at the birds.
She remembered the day when she got fluffy, it was a surprise from Dumbledore. Everyone practically had one, except her of course. And he got her fluffy. It was special to her because now Dumbledore was gone and that was her one reminder of him.
But this might be fun, finding something new and getting to be best friends with it like she was with Fluffy. But she had no clue what to get so she walked up to the nearest woman,"Can you help me?"

The sound of the door opening and closing caught Desirae's attention. She turned to see the woman looking around at the owls. Tilting her head slightly, she heard the girl's question. She smiled slightly, trying to seem polite as possible.
"Sure thing! What would you like help with?" she asked. She then grinned as she realized what she was here for. She put up her hand to stop the girl from responding. "Oh, I see. You're looking for an owl, huh? Well, you've come to the right place." she said, walking away from the counter and smiled at the girl, motioning her to follow her.
"As you probably already know, we have all sorts of owls here. From Barn Owls to Snow White Owls, we have quite the variety." she said. She wasn't sure why she had to speak like this with everyone here, but it was part of the job, she supposed.

Kathleen watched the lady ask her what she wanted and she quirked her brow and opened her mouth to answer but was cut off. God she thought this girl was kind of rude.
Kathy is a very talkative person and when someone cuts her off from blabbing she gets annoyed. So she decided to just cross her arms and nod. "I know you do. But I never actually gotten to buy one, my old owl was bought for me but he just died last week," she hurried and said before the other girl could say another word.
"He was brown and beautiful but I kind of want something new, something completly different. Beautiful, white and adorable."
