Honeydukes Sweetshop. How long has it been since Desirae came here? Too long, she thought. Walking inside the shop, a wave of childlike excitement rushed through her. It was like she was a child again. It was a feeling she had never felt in a long time. It felt good.
Walking towards the counter, she smiled at the man selling the sweets. He returned the smile and nodded in greeting. "Hello, young lady! Welcome to Honeydukes Sweetshop. What would you like?" he asked her.
Desirae thought for a moment and smiled kindly at the man. "I would like three Chocolate Frogs, and two Chocoballs, please." she ordered. The man laughed in amusement, earning a grin from the girl. "Someone's in a Chocolate mood today, aren't we?" he asked. Desirae nodded eagerly, laughing along with him.
The man then brought her the sweets, and Desirae gladly paid him the required payment. She walked towards one of the empty tables and took a bite out of one of the chocolate frogs once she took it out. Chocolate was her number one weakness. It was her source of happiness, in a way.

When Xander awoke that morning, he found himself craving sweets. It wasn't just a little craving, it was massive. He wanted sweets, and he wanted them bad. Yawning, he crawled out of bed and pushed the craving as far from his mind as possible, then went to get some breakfast. He wasn't going to get any sweets today, so there was no point in thinking about them, right? He had more important things to do, like grade papers. Pouring himself some cereal, he headed over to his bedroom again, where he had a desk set up in the corner so he could bring his work home with him. It saved time, and it meant he didn't have to get up as early. Sitting down, he placed the bowl on the desk and leaned over to grab his bag, and found it wasn't where he had left it.
Frowning, he scanned the room for the bag, and realized it wasn't there. He hadn't seen it while he was in the living room-slash-kitchen, meaning he must not have brought it home. Sighing, he picked up his bowl and finished his cereal slowly, realizing he was going to have to go to Hogwarts today, just so he could get the papers to grade them. Placing the empty bowl in the sink with the spoon, he headed off to the bathroom and had a quick shower, then got dressed, grabbing the first thing his hand touched when he stuck it in the closet. As always, his colors didn't really match, but since he wasn't going to teach today, he didn't really mind. He only had to match on the days he was teaching, since he absolutely refused to wear robes. His classroom was far too hot for robes when teaching for the majority of the day.
Slipping his glasses on, he gripped his wand tightly in his hand and closed his eyes, picturing Hogsmeade and thinking, Take me there. Spinning on the spot, he felt the horrible restriction, and then seconds later, he felt free. Opening his eyes, he found himself standing in the middle of the high street in Hogsmeade. His craving for sweets came back in a sudden rush, and he decided to make a quick detour to Honeydukes to get something to much on while grading his papers. He moved quickly over to the shop and entered, heading over to the counter to order some chocolate frogs. He loved those things, and had once gone through a phase where he'd eat at least three a day... And that had lasted for about two years. He was surprised he wasn't sick of them yet.
After ordering and paying for a large bag of chocolate frogs, he went to leave to head off to his class to get the papers he needed to grade, and paused when he caught a flash of blond hair in the corner of his eye. Turning his head, he saw a blond sitting down at a table, taking a bite out of a chocolate frog. Another chocolate lover, perhaps? The thought made Xander smile, but the smile disappeared when he noticed the woman was alone. Wanting to be friendly, he went over to the table and politely asked, "Mind if I sit here?" He offered a soft smile as he waited for a reply. The papers could wait until later, he figured. He loved meeting new people.

Desirae heard a voice near by and turned her head to see a man around the age of 19 ask if he wanted to sit by her. She greeted him with a warm smile. "I don't mind at all. Go right ahead." she accepted, scooting over a bit for him to sit down.
She noticed his bag of Chocolate Frogs and giggled slightly, taking another bite from her own. She wiped away some melted chocolate from the corner of her mouth and blushed slightly. She directed his gaze towards the boy and examined him slightly. He was rather good-looking, she noticed. She smiled faintly at the snakebites. Interesting, she thought. She then extended a friendly hand towards him, smiling softly.
"I'm Desirae. Desirae Ravenwing. And you are?" she asked.

Seeing the woman's warm smile made Xander's soft one turn into one just as warm as hers, and he couldn't help but notice her blush slightly. She couldn't possibly be blushing about him, could she? As far as he was concerned, he wasn't that attractive. But the thought of her blushing over him made him feel warm and fuzzy inside. He hadn't had a girlfriend since his fifth year, or somewhere around there. Although he wasn't really concerned with finding a girlfriend, he wouldn't really mind getting into a relationship.
He sat next to her as she moved over a bit for him to sit. "Thanks," he replied lightly, setting his bag of chocolate frogs down on the table. Hearing her introduce herself, he shook her hand, noticing how soft it was. "It's nice to meet you, Desirae," he responded politely. "I'm Alexander Pearston, but you can just call me Xander." Okay, so his name was actually Dylan, not Alexander, but he didn't like his first name, so he felt no reason for Desirae to know his name was actually Dylan, but he preferred to go by his middle name. It usually led to the question of why, and that was one he could never answer. He didn't know exactly why he didn't like his first name. He just didn't.
He let go of Desirae's hand slowly, giving her a quick once over that he attempted to make look natural, and knew he probably failed miserably. She was a beautiful woman, and he really liked girls with blond hair. No, he didn't limit himself to blonds, but a girl having blond hair just made her seem that much more attractive to him. "So, you like chocolate, huh?" he asked, not really sure of what else to say. He wasn't exactly the best at conversations, but he tried, at least. He liked making new friends, and if given the chance, he would definitely try to take things further with Desirae.
