Violet wasn't sure why she even agreed to come down to the trophy room. Maybe there was still a faint spark of her wanting Spencer as her father figure or maybe it was because it make her mother happy now that she was back. She knew Shelby had felt the tension between Spencer and herself at dinner a couple weeks ago but she never would say what was bothering her. Her siblings seemed to have forgotten how their father treated them. It was sorta different for the three of them. He was actually their father. Spencer wasn't technically was her father; Draven was. More and more she was considering it, she was going to drop the Hawthorne from her last name. After all, her mother did give Slayter as her birth name.
Either way, she was entering the trophy room and noticed Spencer was staring at the quidditch section of the room. She had a feeling she knew what he was looking at. Her mother was on the quidditch team ever since her fourth year as the keeper. Violet could definitely see how people thought she looked like Shelby from the photos. However, Vi was far from athletic. "So. What do you want Spencer?" she spoke, wrapping her arms around her books as she stood there with a pissed off look on her face. She had a right to be mad at him and she wasn't going to let up on her feelings no matter what he had to say to her.

he cringed a bit at those words. He knew how much it would kill Shelby if Violet left and moved in with her real father, all because of him "I want you to know I love you Violet and I don't deserve to even be able to call you my own anymore." he ran a shaky hand through his hair and looked away from her "You've always been my little girl, Vi and I'll always hate myself and regret the way I have been and I really don't expect you or anyone to forgive me."[/ul]

Violet stood there seeing him look over her in that kind of way most parents do when their children were now almost adults. That look of yearning if they could have done more, missing that little girl or boy who loved everything that their parents would do. Except as they grew older, just like Violet they realize how imperfect their parents really are. Especially in Spencer's case. He was not a father to her anymore and wouldn't even consider giving him back this title of endearment. As he shoved his hands into his pockets, Violet set her books onto a bench as she waited to see what bullshit he was going to try to sway her with now.
"As if that's not obvious Hawthorne." she muttered. Her bottom lip was pressed outward in a pout with her blue eyes glaring bullet sized holes through his whole body. "Bullshit. You don't love me. You don't love my siblings and hell if you love my mother. The only person you're concerned with is yourself." she interrupted already putting up a defense of hatred against the hufflepuff man. "No. I'm not your little girl anymore. And good. You should hate yourself. Cause once mum finds out how you treated me and more importantly Sterling, Jasper and little Ruby. How could you treat us like that? As if we didn't matter anymore to you after you practically raised me as your own, let alone your own children? How about you just leave us all the hell alone and you can go drink yourself to some point of no return. It would make everyone in general happy, I'm sure."/b]

he looked away from her again to look back at the trophy case and rested his hands gently against the glass. He royal screwed it all up. Maybe he should find a time turner and do something to stop Shelby from ever allowing him to push himself into her life. Closing his eyes for a moment, he took in a small breath before turning back to Violet, he wanted to pull her into his arms, but he knew better than to do such a thing "I'm so sorry, Violet. I never meant to fail any of you, as a father or as a husband."[/ul]
