Caileigh walked down the cobblestone paths of Diagon Alley in boredom. She was waiting for someone and that someone was very late. Of course that person didn't know that Caileigh was waiting for them but that still didn't give them an excuse to be so late.
Shaking her long blond hair out a little, Caileigh sighed. This wasn't her idea of a good Saturday afternoon. She could be doing so many other things right now, shopping in one of the many shops, getting a drink with a random cute guy or even semi enjoying a small dinner but no here she was. Yes it was great to be back in town where she was ordered to do the boring work for the dark lord.
Hearing footsteps behind her Caileigh slowed her pace and inconspicuously slipped her hand into the inside pocket of her leather jacket to grab a hold of her wand. She turned down one of the many random alleys on the street and stopped abruptly. "Its rude to follow people." Caileigh said in a bored tone still holding her wand in her pocket.

Being one of Aldrich's only days off he decided to run to Diagon Alley for some new robes. He felt the ones he had were getting too tattered. There was only one other person at Madam Malkin's Robes for Every Occasion, but he was welcomed and fitted first. Aldrich was very specific on how he wanted his robes, fitted arms and slim length.
When they started Aldrich was staring out the window as usual. He saw a young lady pass by, he knew this girl but couldn’t figure out how, he had only seen her for a second. He had to figure it out, Aldrich asked politely to be rescheduled for the rest of the fitting. Quickly grabbing all of his belongings he ran out the door and sped up to catch up with this mystery woman. As he got closer he realized he did in fact know this girl, they dated for a while back while they were at Hogwarts. Set up by their parents of course. Al was surprised when she stopped and spoke.
“Following? Maybe,” Al replied, “Caileigh, right? You look great. How have you been?”

Caileigh turned around slowly a small smirk present on her face. She recognized that voice from Hogwarts. A boy her parents tried to set her up with around 5th year. Al something or other, she couldn't really remember his name.
"Yeah" She replied not relaxing her grip on her wand in her pocket. Years of living on the edge had made her very cautious when people tried to talk to her on the street. In her experience a random male on the street either wanted in her pants or to try and kill her. "Who are you again?" She asked rudely arching one finely shaped eyebrow as she took in the man in front of her.
He was dressed nice, must be from money she figured, and he was attractive. Maybe she should be a bit nicer. Caileigh thought her eyebrow raised as she continued to watch the man cautiously.

As Caileigh turned Aldrich felt the shock of panic shoot threw body. "Wow, she really does look good" he thought to himself. He quickly looked down to make sure everything was in order. Fly was up, tie was straight, hands still smooth and flawless. There was a slight wrinkle on his pants but that was fine he had been chasing her down.
He walked forward to shake her hand but body language said he should be careful. He just moved up a couple steps and introduced himself to her again.
"Oh uh, I am Aldrich Metternaucht. Our parents set us up in our 5th year at Hogwarts. It was short lived but nothing to dramatic. I always thought that was why it didn't work. Though, I could be wrong."
Al smiled and let out an awkward laugh, but quickly realized he was probably making a complete fool out of himself so he decided to shut up and put his hands in his pockets.

Caileigh almost laughed at his outward nervous appearance. She recognized him, barely, they were both so young back then and he had obviously grown up a lot. They didn't really work out so well together but neither one of them had really tried to have a real relationship. They had both just gone along with their parents to please them.
"Oh" She stated plainly as she continued to watch him. "And how can I help you?" She asked rudely taking her hand out of her pocket finally and folding her arms in front of her. Tapping her heeled boot on the ground in annoyance.
She was very busy right now and this man was going to make her miss her only shot at her mission. If she didn't complete it on time there would be hell to pay and she was going to make sure that this man paid it.

Aldrich noticed the hurried nature of her speaking and the tapping of her foot. This girl obviously had some where to be or just didn't want to be around him. This made Al even more nervous, confident people were not the best of company for him.
Stammering Al responded, "I just saw you pass Madam Malkin's a while back there, uh, I thought I recognized you and wanted to make sure. I'm sorry if I inconvenienced you. It was nice to see you."
Aldrich turned and started to leave but told himself to man up and talk to her some more, he loved good conversation and knew he would get it from Caileigh, something about her seemed mature and well rounded. He laughed at himself because he didn't know her at all, he barely knew her when they were dating, he was probably completely wrong. She was hot, that was why wanted to talk.
Turning, he said, "I work at Hogwarts as the History of Magic Professor if you ever want to get a hold of me. I would hope you would, we can go get drinks some time or whatever you want to do."
This time he walked right up to her with his hand out stretched. "It was nice seeing you again, I am glad you are well."

Caileigh watched as the man (Al did he say?) started to turn around and leave, 'good' she thought now she could get back to work, hopefully she hadn't missed her target already, but then he turned back around to her great annoyance. This man just never gave up.
She sighed. why were all of the Hogwarts professors so attractive all of a sudden? It just didn't make sense. Alright sure she had only seen two of them since she had gotten back but when she was in Hogwarts all of the professors were ugly and old. Now they were all around her age and attractive. No wonder all of the students liked the school now, they were being spoiled with eye candy.
Looking down at his hand she sighed again. She was going to regret this in the long run. "What are you doing tonight?" she asked not taking his hand in hers. Her eyes went from his hand up to his face. She could use a drink and having attractive company was never a bad thing. Plus, she could get her work done before that. It was a win win situation for her.

'What am I doing tonight?' he repeated over an over again in his head, he didn't think she would actually want to see him again. 'Drinking Polyjuice potion, grading essays and sleeping.. that sounds boring. Be dangerous make something up, no, be funny say something funny girls respond to funny, just don't be stupid.' He realized he was taking forever to respond and his hand was still out stretched. He was making a fool out of himself.
"Tonight?" Al replied lowering his arm, "Nothing, unless Hogwarts is attacked," he let out a little laugh. "Would you like to meet some where?"
It was a good thing she didn't shake his hand, he was so nervous his palms were sweating. He hoped Caileigh wasn't asking him for pity's sake.

Caileigh's eyebrow rose again. An attack on Hogwarts? She could tell he was just making a pathetic attempt at a joke but the concept seemed like a fun idea to her. Too bad the deatheaters were in control now because an attack on Hogwarts is basically pointless. 'oh well' she thought. 'It was an interesting concept for a moment.'
"Yes tonight" Caileigh said back in annoyance. This man was either A. very slow. or B. an idiot. But, he was attractive and Caileigh hadn't been out with someone in a while. Sure she would meet guys once out but showing up with one would be a change for her.
"Sure" she said shrugging. After all she didn't have anything better to do after she was done with her mission. "Where would you like to meet?" She asked questioningly. She hadn't been in town again very long and the only place she really knew of was The Three Broomsticks.

Aldrich knew he was looking like an idiot.
"Well, we could go to the Hog's Head if you want. Not as many people as the Three Broomsticks. And personally I think the drinks are stronger, unless you are a tea kind of girl we could go to Madam Puddifoot's, but I don't know if you would like it there. Something to try."
Al wasn't sure why he offered Puddifoot's, he hated that place. The tea was good sure, but there was always a crowd full of couples on their first date. It was disgusting.
"Unless you want to go somewhere with muggles? Doesn't seem like the best idea but I don't know what you like to do."

Caileigh shook her head smirking. "You're ranting" she stated plainly to the man. At some point she should probably learn his name.
Having never been to the Hogs Head, its description of strong drinks made the decision easy for Caileigh. Madam Puddifoots however, she had heard of, even visited once, and had vowed to never visit again. The place was ridiculous with its pinks and purples confetti everywhere. She had no clue how anyone could tolerate that place let alone enjoy it.
She cringed at the mention of muggles. "Muggles are worthless." Caileigh stated not caring if this man felt the same way about muggles as she did.

"Agreed, about the muggles, just a thought." Al replied.
The fact that Caileigh didn't like muggles was bittersweet, he also could not stand them but he couldn't help think of Amy, his deceased fiancé.
Aldrich remembered she seemed rushed with this conversation from the start. "How does 10 sound? I have some essays to grade tonight I should be done by then. Sorry about the ranting."
He went to extend his hand but quickly dropped it, he didn't want to make the same mistake twice.

Caileigh thought about it. 10 o'clock should give her plenty of time to get all of her things done but she may have to stop hope and get changed depending on how dirty the job got tonight.
"10 o'clock sound fine." she stated deciding that even if she did run a bit late he would either wait for her or she would find someone else to occupy her tonight. Either way worked out just fine for her.
"I'll see you at the Hogs Head then" Caileigh said before brushing past the man and walking back out to the main street her heels clicking against the cobblestone once more as sh continued on her way keeping her eyes peeled for her target.
Tonight would be interesting. It had been a while since Caileigh had spent time with anyone from Hogwarts, except Kobby that is. It would be good for her to at least make some acquaintances again now that she was back for what looked like a while. Who knows maybe she could even make something that resembled a friend. That would be interesting.

Aldrich smiled when she said she would be meeting him. "Sounds good, see you then" he said, quickly as she was passing him.
He watched her as she walked down the street. Aldrich really hated the sound of high heels and didn't understand why someone would want to look so much taller than they really are. But they suited her, a girl with that much attitude and confidence should be tall.
When Ceileigh was out of his sight he realized how many essays he actually had to read. He might not have enough time to grade all of them and get ready. He decided to just skim most of them and read throughly read the ones by his struggling students, see if he could give them extra points where he could for trying.
Al had the sneaking suspicion tonight would not go well. He was preparing himself for arguments and any unwanted attention from other men that may be at the Hog's Head. Usually people don't show up there so that was a good thing.
