WHEN YOU'RE AT THE END OF THE ROAD & YOU LOST ALL SENSE OF CONTROL ,& your thoughts have taken their toll , ---------------------------------------------------------------------
Leaning on the counter, Seamus yawned, resting his head on his fist. It was one of the many slow times of the day at Borgin and Burkes and Seamus was just wishing for something or someone interesting to show up. Although he regretted the wish afterward, mostly because the slow and boring times were easy compared to how hard he had to try to be a death eater when times were busy. So slow periods meant that he was unlikely to get caught and Seamus appreciated that fact. Closing his eyes for a moment, Seamus rolled his neck, getting the kinks out of it. Opening his eyes, he saw that the store was just as empty and yawned once more."Ugh, gotta get moving or I'm going to fall asleep." Looking out the window, he saw few bodies hurrying by. Looking around the store, he walked slowly out from behind the counter and around the store, fixing the littlest details but bieng careful to read the cards first. After all he did not need to get cursed ......or find something that would make him tell the truth. That would be the ruin of the order and would lead to his death and there were a few who would relish the idea of his death. Glancing down at his watch, Seamus let out an audible groan. He still had another two hours until his shift was over. Walking slowly back to the dreaded counter, Seamus pulled a tall stool over and plunked himself down, carelessly. Crossing his arms, he put them on the counter, taking a deep breath and lowering his head. Keeping his head faced the door, Seamus closed his eyes. His mind started wondering and settled on Seamus' biggest fear. Without noticing, Seamus' breath evened out and his thoughts had turned into dreams. He dreamed that he was once more at Hogwarts, but this time he knew that he was older, a year older in fact. He looked around the grounds, noticing a few lines of white spots in front of him. Curious, Seamus walked down the small set of stairs and closer to the spots. Suddenly he froze, realising he didn't want to get closer. A voice sounded by his ear as he stood there. "Go closer, Seamus. You knew that this would happen eventually."
Slowly, Seamus turned his head, eyes wide open in fear. You-Know-Who's red eyes glared at him malieciently. His thin fingers slowly came into Seamus' view and forcibly gripped his chin, turning it slowly towards the white spots marring the dark green grass. Walking forward, propelled by the thin too white fingers on his chin, Seamus tried to look quickly away as they got closer, but the thin fingers that looked to brittle were strong and unbreakable and they moved him forwards with unchangable force. Finally he was close enough to see the white spots for what they were. Bodies. Lots and lots of bodies littered the ground in four rows. Walking still closer until he was walking unwilling amoung the rows, the fingers still pulling him forward until it stopped by a body in the second row. Seamus tried to keep his head looking upwards and not focusing on the ground but those hands pulled his head down. Unwillingly he saw that he wished he hadn't. Dean's body on the ground, not peaceful looking in death but with a pained expression on his face. The fingers directed his gaze to another body and he saw the red hair of Ginny Weasley. Another was one of his old professors. It continued on and only awoke after his gaze had been forced back to Deans pained expression. Finally, he fell to his knees and screamed. It turned out that he must have screamed for real because he awoke with a start. Wiping his mouth and looking around quickly to see if anyone had seen his, what he hoped had been, brief nap. Xaylia had been unable to get what she needed the previous day, courtesy of the appearance of Valarie, so she had come back today. Fortunately, she had permission to be away from headquarters today- but no one had to know what she was really doing. She had stepped into Borgin and Burkes, perking up when she saw Seamus Finnigan for several reasons, none of which she would admit out loud.
She stepped closer and frowned when he didn't move, for a moment wondering if he was actually dead, but she could see his chest rise slightly- just asleep. Well, she could get her items and then wake him up, no sense bothering him when she didn't need him just yet. She swept through the shop, going to the corner, and was just about to pick up a mirror on a display case when suddenly Seamus screamed, making her jump and nearly drop the mirror.
"Just me, no need to freak out." She said lightly, giving him a half smile. It was rare that Xye was so relaxed, nor nearly as teasing. Still, she was in a good mood, and she set the mirror down before returning to the counter. "Afternoon, Seamus."

He spotted a woman holding a mirror and his cheeks flushed lightly. "Oh, just you? Are you sure? That mirror could be hiding someone." As the flush went out of his cheeks, Seamus smiled, happy to be able to joke around a bit. It wasn't often this job called for it and it always felt like he was repressing part of himself when he had to pretend. But it helped to make him feel important and needed so it's what he did. Getting off of the stool, Seamus stood proudly for a few minutes before leaning on the counter. Xaylia was rarely so relaxed and teasing and Seamus was glad of it, especially considering the amount of doubt and comments he got off of a few of te more suspicious death eaters.
" Is it really, I swear, I could have sworn I fell asleep this morning." Pausing for a minute, he added, " But really, I only fell asleep for a few minutes. Anyway, Afternoon, Xaylia. The day seems to be treating you well for you to walk in with a smile on your face." Standing up to his full height which wasn't towering but if need be he could make it seeem like that. "So, what can I do for you today?" He asked, a little bit mischievously. Seamus had never thought of Xaylia that way and never would but it was always fun to tease a bit.

Xaylia folded her arms over her chest, tilting her head with a smirk. She was definitely one of the younger death eaters, and her face was easily readable, not at all accustomed to hiding her feelings from anything or anyone. Seamus amused her, and unlike the other death eaters, she didn't see him as any sort of threat or anything remarkable to pay attention to- she might even go as far to say as she trusted him more than she did the others. At least, she was pretty sure she could take him, if at all necessary.
Besides, somewhere deep down, Xaylia knew they were both living a lie.
Xye didn't know the truth behind what it was that Seamus was hiding, but she was good at reading people, and there was a secret lodged somewhere in him. Lying about her own identity, Xye felt a sort of unspoken kinship to him, and as long as he stayed out of her way, she would keep her musings about him to herself. No need for her only potential ally to be killed, after all.
"Afternoon it is." She said, tilting her head. Her long black hair was pinned up lazily today into a messy knot at the base of her neck, accenting her pale, pretty face. She shrugged at his teasing comment, her own smile not faltering. "It's nice to get out into the sunlight once in a while." She said amiably. Since she was Voldemort's "seer" (what a lie that was,) Xye very rarely got to be out of headquarters. The occasional trip into the outside world was like Christmas coming early to a child, and she always took up the opportunity. "Well, I would like to first point out," She paused, looking around, then leaned closer over the counter. She smelled faintly of violets, and her clothing rustled softly as she moved. "This transaction never happened."

"That I've been told. I swear I'm going to turn into an albino if I don't get some sun soon." Seamus grinned once more. It was sort of true. Most days he could be found working here or either at the death eaters base or the orders base. It just all got confusing and Seamus was glad when one of his few days off came around.
Keeping the smile frozen on his face, Seamus leaned in a little a minute after Xaylia. "Well, I would like to first point out,This transaction never happened."
Catching a small whiff of violets, Seamus leaned minutely closer, taking another breath before leaning back with the smile still on his face but his eyes were almost in their frozen state. " I never sold you anything. I was bored, you came in and we had a nice little chat. After all, I can't resist a pretty lady." The lie slid off of his tongue easily. It was something he had learned quickly and it had came in handy many times. He just had to make sure to keep all the lies straight or else that could end him just as well as not lying at all. After all, the Death Eaters weren't known for their kindness. Leaning his head on his arm to make it more difficult to read his lips, Seamus quietly asked," And what was this transaction that never happened?" Seamus' eyes had reached their full iciness though his lips were still frozen in a smile. His cheeks felt a little sore but he knew if his smile left someone would think something was wrong. Or something bad would happen. And a Death Eaters version of something bad usually involved broken bones if not death. Again not something Seamus wanted to experience. "Glad to hear it." Xaylia said honestly, straightening. She pulled a list out of her pocket, giving the door another cursory glance, and then slid it across the counter. All the death eaters knew that whenever there was something illegal to be had, the best place to go was Borgin and Burkes. Xye had been spending an unfortunate amount of time around the store lately, and now she needed more illegal potions ingredients.
While the Death Eaters certainly didn't frown on illegal activities, Xye was busy experimenting, working on something that would change their operations so drastically that she could then fade into obscurity- and not spend every day hoping that her giant lie was unraveled. Her blue eyes held his, patient and testing. "So do you have what I need?" She asked. She didn't offer an explanation for what such random things were doing on the same list together, and she didn't plan on it. She liked Seamus, but she didn't like him that much.

As Xaylia slid the paper across the counter, Seamus took a little glance both outside and a quick sweep of the inside, just in case. Pulling the list towards him, he gave it a cursory glance while running through the ingredients he knew. Seamus saw a few that were unfamiliar to him and he was unsure whether they had them. His voice low, he told Xaylia the truth,"I think we have all of this. I'll just have to go look in the back room to make certain. I'll also get the ones I know we have." Walking to a door that stood closed behind him, he opened it easily, walking into a dark cupboard like closet. Groping around for the light but finally giving up, he whispered, "color=maroon]Lumos." His wand tip lit and he searched the shelves for what he needed. Picking things off of the shelf as he went, he soon discovered that they had all of her required potion ingredients. He contemplated not grabbing the last one but she had probably seen him stop in front of it and so assume he was getting her what she wanted. Walking to the door, he found a small bag beside it. Carefully placing all the ingredients in the bag, he walked into the store, making sure to close the door tightly behind him.
Coming to the counter, he placed the bag on the counter, making sure both his and Xaylias bodies blocked it from view. "Don't worry about paying. I'll take care of it," A curious tone took over his voice. "May I ask what you need all this for or is that classified?" He calmly slid the list under the bag, where she couldn't see it. Putting his hand in his pocket, he silently used the spell to duplicate it. Now they're were two under the bag. Picking up one and sliding the other into a pocket, he handed Xaylia the original. "Here you go." He said, a smile on his face.
