She sighed as she rolled out of bed. Cho was and would never be a morning person. She hated walking up so early in the morning, but of course that didn't mean she would do it. As long as she had two cups of coffee she would be all good and awake. A shower was always a good way to wake up as well. Grabbing a towel she made her way to the spacious bathroom and took a shower. She went through her daily morning routines and was already at her closet deciding what to wear. She settled for a white top, a black vest, a black skirt and her shoes.
She had a quick breakfast of a piece of toast with jam on it and of course her coffee. After cleaning up she was grabbing her coat and walked out of the door. Where was she going at nine in the morning? She wasn't exactly sure, her shift didn't start till three that after noon. It really had only been a month since she had moved into her apartment and it seemed rather bare. She took out her list, finally making one. Tucking it safe into her coat pocket she apperated to Hogsmeade. She had a craving for some lollipops, and as weird as it sounded she kinda licked the blood pops, they did taste somewhat like cherry.
She cursed herself for wearing a skirt, especially at such a cold time. Anyways, she continued to walk on the snowy streets of hogsmeade. Pulling out her list, she would go to Honeydukes, stop by the post office, grab a bite to eat before going into work and stocking up on some groceries. She had been walking and reading at the same time, which was never a good combination, especially on busy streets. Before she looked up she ran into someone, causing her list and her wand to fall out of her grasp. She cringed at the sound of her wand snapping. She had fallen on her knees, sighing as she picked up her broken wand. How she hated mornings.

Hermione heard the soft beeping of her alarm clock sounding off. She rolled over in bed and let it beep a total of three more times before sitting up and turning it off. She yawned and tried to stretch out her sleepy muscles. She had a book that was only available in Hogsmeade with her name on it, and despite the early hour she needed to get it before her shift started. Her shift was later that usual actually, which seemed like a godsend for her. She had been working overtime for money lately and she had enough to get a book she had been trying to save up to buy.
Hermione climbed out of bed and immediately began her morning ritual. After making the bed, Hermione dressed casually. Looking in the mirror, Hermione wished that instead of her shirt having red and gray stripes that it could be red and gold. She would stand out more if she wore her shirt like that, so she decided against charming the grey to be gold. Her jeans fit comfortably, and since she had been rationing her food before she got her job last week, a little loose. She had pulled on some worn sneakers that had certainly seen their better days before pulling a dark grey purse like bag over her shoulder.
Her hair was a mess though, strands almost sticking up straight in the hair. If she thought she had the time, she would have taken a shower but she knew she would end up distracted with all the other books and an unknown amount of time could pass. Hermione cleaned herself up before running down the stairs and finding a safe place to apparate. Most people flew to their places now because of the constant watch over the floo networks and the knowledge of when someone used magic but Hermione couldn't bring herself to get over her fear of heights.
Arriving in one piece, Hermione smiled at herself. Now on to her shopping. Such memories here, and she thought of only the good times. Her first time here with Ron had been memorable, she had dragged him several places before they met up with Harry who had snuck out. Hermione kept her mind from staying on Harry and thought about the other shops that were around. She might just stop by Honeydukes and by a little bit of something for old times sake. Hermione had it firmly decided and started forward only to met someone crashing into her. Hermione felt herself slip on the icy roads and landed on her back. Hermione heard herself curse and laid her head back against the snow. "You ok?" Hermione heard herself ask, testing her muscles to see if she had seriously hurt something. Finally, she looked at the girl. She looked so familiar. "Cho?" Hermione asked, and she was nearly certain it was her old classmate Cho Chang. She hadn't seen her in a long while.

This is exactly why she never made lists. Because she would never read them at the appropriate time. Her brown eyes moved from her broken wand to the body that she had ran into. It was obvious that the impact was a bit rough especially on these icy roads. She landed on her knees and the poor person she ran into fell on her back. She cringed in pain as she retrieved her broken wand and her wet list. Her attention was drawn to the woman on the road, her comment about her being okay made her respond and ask the same question in return.
"I'm fine, just a scrape. What about you?"Cho asked as she extended her hand to try to help up the woman she had ran into. She heard her name and simply answered,"Yes? Oh my God, Hermione, I'm so sorry I didn't see you."Cho quickly apologized to her former classmate. It had been so long, or at least it felt like that to her. That it had been a million years since she had last seen Hermione or anyone else for that matter. Of course the only one to blame for her lack of social interactions was Cho herself.
Her hand still extended to the brown haired girl, Cho looked around seeing the bustle of people just moving out of the way and ignoring them, as if they were not there. At least they had enough courtesy as to not step on them. Cho thought with a small frown. Turning her attention back to Hermione, Cho went into a full explanation."I'm so sorry, I know I shouldn't read and walk at the same time especially during this kind of weather. I'm just out of it, but are you alright?"Cho asked concerned, ignoring her injury as it wasn't on her mind at the moment.

"I don't think I broke anything, though I suppose you can't say that considering your wand." Hermione said, noticing the broken wand almost immediately. That certainly wasn't beneficial. "Sorry about that." She said, taking the girl's hand and standing up. Cho looked much the same as she had in Hogwarts, just older. Hermione smiled at the other girl and brushed her back off. The snow fell from where it had matted against her shirt and begun to soak into her clothes. "It's as much of my fault as it is yours. I had been thinking about all the times I had been here, the good times at least." Hermione pulled out her own wand and did a quick drying spell on her clothes. "Did the snow wet your clothes as well?" Hermione asked, since the girl couldn't very well use her own wand fix it.
"I'm perfectly fine, and don't be so sorry. I'd be the last person to discourage someone from reading. What was the name of the book you were reading?" Hermione said, wondering what subject Cho could be studying, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms, Transfiguration, or even Potions. Hermione wished that she had kept up with some of the other students she had gone to Hogwarts with. Perhaps not Malfoy or any of the other Slytherin turned Death Eaters but those who had been in D.A. Hermione had never seen Cho in Order meetings, but she had at least one reason to join the Order of the Phoenix. Cedric.

Cho sighed in relief when Hermione had replied to her, saying that she didn't break anything. Last thing she needed was someone to be injured and her being without a wand, being able to help her. She looked at her and shook her head."I doubt you broke my wand. It was me."She said with a smiled."Its alright, at least no one was hurt. I guess that is true"She said with a nod, agreeing that it was both their fault for crashing into each other. Cho smiled at the former gryffindor girl, she looked the same, but then again. She figured everyone would look the same to her.
She watched as Hermione charmed her clothes dry and then looked at her. She shook her head and dusted the snow off her knees."No, I'm alright thanks though."She told her with a small laugh."Actually, it would of been a sad day if I've gotten my book wet. But I was actually reading my to do list."She said with a smile, before crumpling up the wet piece of paper and throwing it away in the nearest trash bin. She always thought Hermione, with all her smarts should of been placed in her former house of Ravenclaw. After waking back to Hermione and sticking her broken wand in the pocked of her coat."So, what brings you to Hogsmeade?"She asked curiously, not sure whether to continue her conversation with Hermione. They really weren't that best of friends and had gotten off the wrong foot many times. But that was then and this was now.

Hermione shrugged, smiling at Cho. "I see, but then it could have been our collide that had done it and then it would have been both of our faults." Hermione said, and noticed the girl was wearing a skirt. It wasn't a very long one either, and Hermione frowned. Couple November with early morning and that spelled a chill. Maybe Cho had a heated charm on herself, which would allow her to feel the chill without really being affected by it.
Cho denied a heating charm and Hermione put her wand away. A to do list, those could be very helpful when you had a lot to do for a day. Hermione knew that personally, having so much to do in one day and little time to do it. Cho threw it away, and Hermione supposed it was because either the little piece of paper was useless now or she had memorized what on on it. The Ravenclaw girl was smart enough, Hermione knew that much.
"I'm here for a book I have on reservation. It's nothing too important, actually to anyone who looks at it they would only see a list of spells for house hold spells. Under the cover, it's a book of defensive spells. The order actually bought it and I'm here to pick it up." She was sure Cho had at least heard of the Order of the Phoenix, and whether she was just a supporter or an actually member Hermione wasn't sure. Hermione had never seen her at the meetings though, so she guessed supporter. "How about you? You seem like a girl on a mission."

Cho laughed at what Hermione said."Hey, it doesn't matter who broke it. I should really go get a new one."Cho said with a smile as she brushed her hair that managed to fall in her face behind her ear. She felt weird just standing there, she wasn't sure whether to think of a topic for the conversation to keep go or to let Hermione leave and do whatever she had to do. Cho assumed that they each had a place to be.
Cho nodded when Hermione said she was here for a book that she had reserved. Cho was a bit surprised that she didn't hesitate to tell her exactly what the book had behind its pages."Oh, that's nice."Cho said, a bit lost for words. What did one say to something like that? She bit her lip, as she tired to find the right words. She wanted to help and she proved that she was capable of doing just that, not once but twice.
Though she still felt awful that her so called best friend had ratted out the D.A. Of course Cho, was controlled by her emotions back then. Though she hated to admit it, she feared she would always be. After what happened to Cedric, things took a turn for the worst. Though she was happy or appeared some what like it. She was miserable and alone. Or at least she felt like she was alone. She stopped herself from thinking about the recent events. She opened her mouth, but couldn't believe the words that spilled out of her mouth."I want to help."Cho said in a firm tone, it was like she was sure of what she wanted and she was. Though she did have her doubts, more of how people would see her. That her D.A. thing still plagued her. She wasn't going to make the same mistake again.

Hermione still looked a bit apologetic about the broken wand though. Since Ollivander's was closed down and the man himself dead, she wasn't sure who to refer Cho to get a new wand. There was another wand shop though, so perhaps Cho would go there. "So how have you been?" Hermione asked, wondering if she had any troubles or hardships since Voldemort took over. Well, maybe Cho had it easier than she did. She really had no connection to Harry other than their short relationship and joining the D.A. Really, Cho hadn't been ready for the relationship with Harry anyway, anyone could tell she had been still heart broken after Cedric.
Hermione smiled at Cho, and looked around them. The crowd had thinned considerably, and really Hermione hadn't been talking too loud about what she had been getting. "It's supposed to be a really good book as well, advanced spells that with enough practice you could master." Hermione wished she was still at Hogwarts, and could make use of the Room of Requirement. Then she could practice the spells herself before handing the book over to the Order of the Phoenix.
Hermione smiled at Cho, grinning at the olive skinned girl. She must have been a supporter then, Hermione decided. "Well, there is no scheduled meeting but I'll talk about you wanting to join. I'm sure it'll be no problem, though. We need as much help as we can get, but there is new leadership and I'm not sure what they'll say...What's your address, or how can I contact you?" Hermione said, and decided to add something to help the girl keep her hopes up for doing something to help. "I'd be very surprised if the didn't accept you into the order."

Cho smiled softly, she would have to get a wand today. But since Ollivander had passed away. She really had no idea where to go. And she really couldn't fix her wand, seeing many people at work who tried to fix there wand themselves and failed, she knew better then to do that. The last thing she need was a spell to backfire on her, just because she didn't get a new wand. Turning back her attention to Hermione, who had just asked her how she has been."I'm good....yeah good. I just moved into a flat. It took ages for my mother to let me go."She said a bit embarrassed. Her parents, well mainly her mother had always been over protective of her. Cho, was just glad she was free from all the over protection.
"Busy when I'm at work but yeah, um how about you?"Cho asked curiously. Everything changed especially for people who were not like Cho, pureblood. She always helped out people when she could, this whole blood status was just ridiculous. It seemed like the muggles had a similar event like this before. If she remembered back to her Muggle studies class, it was called the Holocaust. She remembered crying as she heard about the things people did. Brushing those thoughts away Cho nodded."That's great. I've fairl good a healing spells, I should be since I work at St. Mungos."Cho smiled.
Cho smiled back at Hermione and gave her a quick hug. She was just really happy that Hermione said she would mention something about her wanting to join. She really hoped it wasn't a probably at all. And if they didn't want her there, she would understand. Its not like she supported anyone else, never would she dream of it. Hermione asked her for her adresss and she quickly pulled out a scrap of parchment and her quill."Its in muggle london, but its owned by a witch. Its not that far from the Leaky Cauldron. The name of the complex is Hazelnut Flats. I'm on the top floor flat, B5."Cho said as she wrote it down and then handed her the scrap of parchment.

Hermione smiled at Cho, having heard about the girl's parents not wanting her to leave. "Can you really blame them, with the war going on? I'd be frightened if my child had to go out into a war like this. Though, they really should let you make your own decision." They were just frightened that on the off chance she made a wrong decision, they could loose their baby girl.
"You work at St. Mungols? As what kind of healer?" Hermione asked, curious about what the Ravenclaw had been doing since Hogwarts. The girl had obviously not been effected by the war too much, which might be why she wanted to really get in and help others who weren't so well off. "I had a hard time getting a job, any job really but I finally have one. Me and Ron are going to move into a flat together soon, and I'm quite thankful for it. I had a rather small one before."
Cho hugged Hermione quickly, and Hermione had to rush and wrap her arms around the girl for a moment before she went on to write her address. When the girl mentioned the Leaky Cauldron, Hermione smiled wryly. "Well, since you live so close anytime your going to Diagon Alley through the Leaky Cauldron, go ahead and stop by and say hi to me." She said, hoping the girl got the hint that she worked at the Leaky Cauldron. It definitely wasn't her dream job, but not everyone got their dream job. Perhaps she could work for it though, and in the end she would have it.

Cho smiled back at Hermione and shrugged slightly."I guess you make a good point. With this war and all, I guess no one is prepared to have something they love taken away from them....though I guess one really doesn't prepare for that in life."She said softly.
She nodded when Hermione asked if Cho worked at St. Mungos and as what kind of healer."Yes, well I work on the second floor. Magical bugs and disease. Being that I am new, i get the chance to b rotated around all the different floors."Cho sighed quietly. It was sad hearing that Hermione had a hard time find a job. Hermione was a smart girl and Cho was certain she would be great in anything she worked for. But her being a muggle born, she could imagine the hard times she's been through and her she was complaining about her parents not letting her move out."Well if you guys need anything, anything at all, please don't hesitate to ask."Cho smiled warmly at Hermione.
Cho smiled and nodded, catching on that Hermione was working at the Leaky Cauldron. It wasn't the best place to work, but at least Hermione had a job. Cho brushed her hair our of her eyes."Do you want me to walk with you to the bookstore? I could always use a book myself."Cho said with a small laugh.
