Caileigh entered the pub right behind Kobby and followed him towards a table in the back that was partially secluded. She took in her surroundings as she walked and was suprised to see the pub as quiet as it was. From what she remembered, The Three Broomsticks would constantly be alive and buzzing with adults and students alike. Even if it was during the week, students from all houses would come down to The Three Broomstick and enjoy each others company.
She sat down in the chair Kobby held out for her with a small thank you and waited for Kobby to sit before letting her arms fold in front of her chest and sitting back in her chair. Being here made her a little uncomforable, exspecially since she was here with Kobby but it was the only place she knew of around here and she figured the neutral ground for the two of them would be best.
"So. . . " she said watching Kobby slightly. "What have you been up to besides teaching?" She asked raising one finely shaped eyebrow.

After she had sat down, Kobby pushed her chair in for her. He was really attempting to show her that he wasn't the same person he had been when she had left. Yeah, Kobby had always been popular with women, but he hadn't always known how to treat them and still he found times when he hated how it acted. But, he was trying and she couldn't really ask for more then that.
Kobby moved around to the other side of the table and sat himself. He looked at her, and noticed that she wasn't okay with how she felt about being here, but Kobby wouldn't mention that they could leave. If she wanted to leave, he knew she could handle to suggest it on her own.
"Not much.. It takes a lot of time, being a teacher. Especially for what I teach. Apparently, it's a lot harder of a concept then I thought" He laughed a little bit as he unzipped his jacket.

Caileigh smiled slightly as she listened to Kobby. You could tell that he really loved what he was doing with his life. He really loved his job and actually cared about his students. It was really good to see him so happy. It made her happy to see. The problem was it made her think about her life. Was she happy? Sure she enjoyed being a deatheater, killing people was actually pretty fun for her, it was amusing to watch as they begged for life but did it make her happy? Could she even be happy anymore?
She watched as he unziped his jacket letting her eyes roam the parts of his body she could see over the table. Kobby was fit, he always was but seeing him older, hotter. It was different. She liked it.
Looking back at his face she raised an eyebrow. "What about women Kobby?" She asked in amusement. "I'm sure you haven't been all alone these past years." She stated letting her eyes roam again for a moment before focusing on his eyes again.

Kobby removed his jacket a moment later, and grinned as he caught Caileigh's eyes 'watching' him. He wouldn't say anything, but he was a bit smug that she was enjoying the view.
He folded his jacket and draped it over the back of his chair before putting his arms on the table and holding his hands together under his chin. He grinned again when she mentioned women. Yeah, Kobby had been getting around with women, but not in a way he particularly liked but instead in a way that made him frusterated. He wasn't a fan of drama, and the women he was with were causing a bit of it in his life.
"Well, you know I am.." he teased for a moment, watching her. Would she be jealous if she thought he had a girlfriend? He was tempted to make a women up, just to find out but decided that wouldn't be a good idea seeing as he was trying to get to know her again.
"It could be better, but it's certainly been worse.." He commented for a moment, seeing her eyes wander for a moment. he raised a slight eyebrow as he shook his head lightly.

Caileigh laughed openly. For the first time in years, she realized as she was doing it. There was something about Kobby that made her feel like she was 16 again. Almost like she was transported back to the good old days before life got so complicated. It was nice but unnerving that just a few hours with Kobby could make her feel like that again.
"You always were a ladies man." she joked back to him her smile much wider than it had been previously. "Anyone in particular?" She asked nosily. She was curious, she wanted to know if he was with anyone. Not that it was her business, she just wanted to know. And if there was someone maybe she would accidentally run into her and 'talk.'
She uncrossed her arms and rested her elbows on the table in front of her, feeling more comfortable around Kobby.

Kobby watched her, and as he did he had to watch what he said. It would be so easily for him to just fall into the old pattern of calling her 'babe' and 'cay' but he knew that he couldn't. Not that he didn't want to, but he knew that she wasn't who she use to be, and he had to be careful not to give her the wrong idea.
She asked about someone in particular, and though he was sure his thoughts would go Violet, seeing as she was the most prominent in his life, he strayed to Mina. Not for a very long time, just a moment but he shrugged.
"Nothing is ever set in stone Caileigh" he said with a slight tone of regret. He wouldn't mind being with her, but he wasn't talking to her for the reason's she thought he was. Kobby was only using her for the fact that she had a job at the Daily Prophet and he could get useful information from her.
He grinned at her again, pushing up his sleeves. He was a little too warm in here if someone were to ask him.

Caileighs smile dropped slightly. Being the nosy slightly clingy girl that she was, she had been watching Kobby carefully during his response. Both his facial expressions and his thoughts. Without a name there wasn't much to go on but she had a location to start with. The big question was, who was the girl that had Kobby so torn? He liked her but was using her? That just didn't seem like the Kobby Caileigh knew or seemed to be.
She looked away towards the bar. "I suppose" She said sighing and forcing her smile back up. Did she want to be with Kobby? Well that remains to be seen. Sure she loved him but could they even be together anymore? They were both different and Kobby had moved on, that was for sure.
Looking back at Kobby she watched him push up his sleeves. Her eyes focused on his Dark mark for a moment she reached forward and gently ran her index finger over it. "So what made you join?" She asked softly.

Normally he would be worried about someone seeing his mark, but it was dark in here and now a days, no one was really surprised when they ran into a death eater. She looked back at him, and her eyes focused on his mark.
It was clear to Kobby that she was death eater, so he wasn't worried about her knowing. When she reached over the table and traced a finger down his forearm, Kobby shivered in response. That was something that Caileigh had always been abele to do to him, with just the smallest touch. She had that about her he thought, but maybe she was just 'like that' now. Kobby couldn't say.
He shrugged lightly at her question, "I didn't really have a whole lot of options after my parents were gone..." He said watching her. He kept his arm there though, knowing that he didn't want her to pull her hand away.

Caileigh knew about his parents being dead. After all they had been friends way back then. She knew how it had affected him, how he had to take care of his sister after that but she had never thought that Kobby of all people would have joined the Death Eaters. He was always so gentle with everyone she just couldn't see him killing anyone. It just seemed like he would have tried to find another way out.
She noticed his shiver and smiled before taking her hand away and putting it in her lap. "I didn't expect to see that." She stated plainly watching his eyes. She looked away after that towards the bar. She saw the bartender at the far end and realize that he probably wasn't going to come ask for orders. She pushed her chair back slightly and turned back to Kobby. "You want anything?" she asked referring to a drink. She knew that they had come here for food but she figured if she distracted him with alcohol maybe he wouldn't notice her not eating and it seemed like a good change of subject since Kobby seemed uncomfortable about his mark.

"Firewhisky" He responded watching her. She seemed uneasy, and he would have protested her getting the drinks but she was already pushing her chair back. Instead, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small bag of coins and held them out for her.
"Hear, this is my treat. Order whatever you want, I'm not worried about the money" He had gotten a bit tense when the question about his mark. When it came to his sister and her well-being Kobby could change into a man that didn't normally exist. It was just how he was when he came to those he loved, and even today if someone would try and hurt Caileigh, he could see himself getting in a brutal fight to keep her safe.

Caileigh pushed her chair back all the way and stood up. She saw Kobby pull out money and shook her head. "I've got this round" She said with a small laugh in her voice. "You can get the next one."
She said as she walked away from the table over to where the bartender stood. As she walked she pulled her coat off of her shoulders smoothly and let it rest over her arms. It was very hot in here. Her heels clicked against the floor as she stopped in front of the man. She leaned against the counter and smiled at the bartender. Pulling a few coins out from her back pocket she placed them on the counter and smiled.
"Two firewhiskys" she said eyeing the man slightly. He wasn't really her type to bulky she thought pushing her long blond hair off of her shoulders a bit as she waited for the man to pour the drinks.
Hearing a chair move next to her Caileigh rolled her eyes slightly. She glanced over and saw an incredibly inebriated man wink at her suggestively. She raised one thinly shaped eyebrow back at him and sighed. She didn't even need to invade the mans mind to figure out what he was thinking. Caileigh muttered a curse under her breath quietly and watched in amusement as the man fell from his seat to the floor holding his private parts. She muttered the counter curse softly. The man stood up quickly looked around confused and walked out of the bar walking crookedly. To most people it had just looked like a drunken mans antics but Caileigh took joy in her handiwork.
Caileigh looked back at the bartender who set her drinks on the counter in front of her and was watching her carefully. She shrugged with a small smirk before turning on her heels grabbing the drinks and walking smoothly back to the table where Kobby sat. She set the drinks down on the table and slid back into her seat. She smiled at Kobby and pushed his drink in front of him before taking a small sip of hers.

Caileigh ignored the money that he tried to give her, and this was a bit of an insult to him. The plan was to treat her, not the other way around but as he watched her, he only raised an eyebrow then shook it off. Well, at least she was trying to be noticed.. Kobby remembered when she would rather be invisible, and as he thought about this he smiled as she walked towards the bar.
He let his body lean back in the chair, the front to legs just barely off the ground. He wasn't worried about falling because 1. he hadn't fallen yet and 2. anyone in here was way to drunk to remember it if he did.
Kobby watched her back as she headed to the bar, and sort of lowered his glance when she pulled her coat down. Kobby could tell the difference between a women who was just looking to cool off or a women who was attempting to use her body as a weapon of some sort and Caileigh was certainly doing the second one. He sighed to himself slightly, letting his eyes rest closed for a moment. He waited patiently, not being able to hear what was being said at the bar but grinned when he noticed her coming back.
His drink was set in front of him, and he took the small glass in his hand before throwing the firewhisky down his throat. It burned a little, but it was a good burn.

Caileigh set her drink back down on the table. She could tell that Kobby was slightly annoyed at her for refusing his money but was trying to let it go. She sat back in her seat and grabbed a hold of her necklace lightly. She ran the heart-shaped charm back and for worth over the chain in boredom. This was weird for her. Maybe she shouldn’t have told him how she felt. It didn’t really seem to get them anywhere but at least now they were done arguing and were being civil to each other.
She dropped her chain and grabbed her drink again this time taking a much deeper drink this time. “So. . .” she said after almost downing her drink but decided that she had nothing to say about halfway through a thought. She closed her mouth again and sighed.
