"Stupid forest" He mumbled to himself as he kicked a large branch out of the way. It probably would have been painful if he weren't wearing steal toed boots. He was in his Death Eater robe, tracking some of the creatures in the forest. Kobby thought it was stupid, the fact that the Dark Lord had this insane idea that the creatures of the forest could somehow over power him. He sighed gently as he took note of a cantor.
As he walked through the forest, he remembered being a student here himself and being asked to stay out of the forest, now Kobby made it his business to be in the forest. Keeping track for numerous sides. Creatures for the Dark Lord, 'suspicious' activity for the order, and as a teacher at the castle he made sure to watch out for students putting their nose where it didn't belong.
As he was walking, his mark started to burn and he let out a yell of frustration. he wasn't really worried about someone hearing him, Kobby was in one of the those moods. With his Mark burning he thought about everything that was out of his control. What he did with his free time was watched by some group, his activities at the school were monitored by the head master. During class students watching him.
Kobby was beginning to feel his life was no longer his own and as he took a deep breath he heard a branch crack and turned on his toes toward the sound. Wand pointed outward he was on guard.

Caileigh’s stiletto heeled thigh high black leather boots crunched through the forbidden forest as she stepped on branches and twigs alike completely unconcerned for the noise she may be making. She just didn’t care. She didn’t enjoy being this close to the school but it was a necessary evil at this point. Having just gotten back from her trip for the DarkLord she had people she had to catch up with.
As she got closer and closer to the school the more memories seemed to try and sneak up on her. She really didn’t like how this castle affected her. It shouldn’t. It was all in the past, but yet it was.
Finally she spotted her prey. Kobby she thought as she watched him wander through the forest. He looked about the same as she remembered him from Hogwarts, more manly but roughly the same. For a moment her heart ached for him. She missed him but he hurt her and that was unforgivable, so she pushed those feelings asside.
She continued to watch him for a while, following him and observing from behind trees. She wasn’t sure if she wanted him to know she was there or not. On one hand he should be punished for hurting her but seeing him again made it hard on her.
He yelled and she almost laughed at him. He was always so over dramatic. She thought as he clutched his forearm for a moment. Casually she stepped over a twig just to step right on top of another. Opps she thought not at all worried about what he would do to her. He yelled and she rolled her eyes stepping out from behind her tree just to see Kobby with his wand pointed at her. “Oh Kobby,” Caileigh said her blood red lips forming a smirk. “I don’t remember you being this loud.” She added watching his eyes. She wasn’t worried about his wand. He wouldn’t use it.

Kobby watched as an all to familiar figure stepped out from behind a tree. He stood there for a moment, his face still hard from his resent outburst. There was no way this was the girl from Hogwarts.. As he thought about it, his mind moved from memory to memory.
he held his wand where it was, unsure as to why she was here. He hadn't heard anything of her sense he himself had left Hogwarts. he assumed she had just left, and as he watched her he noticed she wasn't as thin as before.
Kobby's stomach dropped as he thought about all the things that he had seen her go through. Caileigh had been a girl he truely cared about, but he didn't have the strength to deal with her eating disorder. he had tried to help her, but when he knew he couldn't he left her. He had felt horrible for the longest time, guilty.
"Caileigh.." he whispered as his hood fell. He only watched her, and thought of the things they had shared. Kobby said nothing in a response to her statement because honestly, he didn't know what to say. That he was sorry?? Well, he figured it was way to late to apologize. That he missed her? He had missed her for the longest time but not lateley. Kobby had finally stopped thinking about probably a year or so ago.

She rolled her bright blue eyes in amusement. “Well, at least you know who I am still” She said sarcastically as she watched his movements carefully. He may look the same but she didn’t know exactly what he was capable of and she would rather have been cautious.
She put her small hands on her slender hips, “What no kiss?” She asked her smirk remaining on her face.
She turned her eyes to meet his confused gaze. She pushed her way easily into his unguarded mind and watched as memories of them together ran through wildly. She saw herself as he had seen her. While it saddened her to see and realize how he felt it didn’t change what he did or how she felt about being abandoned by one of her very few friends.
“You didn’t miss me at all did you” She asked a fake pout gracing her lips. He was going to see that she was different than he remembered. She was powerful now, in control; nothing is going to stop her now.

Kobby still couldn't believe that she was in front of him, that he was actually talking to her.
"What?" He asked. with his wand still in his hand, Kobby lowered it a little, cautious. She was different, and though she still looked good, he had an unsettled feeling about her. Not that he was afraid, Kobby was plenty powerful himself. Enough to defend himself, but he would never try to hurt her.
He was still shocked, but it was passing. "Caileigh, are you serious right now?" He asked in disbelief. Of course he missed her.
"Do you even KNOW what that did to me?" He asked with a sarcastic laugh. That pissed him off, her saying that he didn't miss her. Kobby, at one point in time, lived for this women. He threw his hands up in frustration before rubbing his forehead. His arm was still burning, but he hardly noticed it by this point.
Watching her still, he lowered his hand from his face and took a few steps towards her. "Caileigh, I'm sorry.. I.." He let his sentence fall short. How do you even begin to apologize for something like that? "I was a kid...and it, well, it was too much. I didn't know how to help you.."
Kobby's voice was almost pleading now, he didn't know to explain himself.

Caileigh snorted unattractively at Kobby as he tried to explain himself. It was comically really for him to try and portray how it supposedly hurt him or pained him in any way to leave her. She didn’t believe him at all. She shook her head in disbelief at his pleading. “I’m completely serious” She stated plainly still watching him carefully. She noted both how he still hadn’t dropped his wand arm and how he didn’t look like he intended to. Would he really hurt her she wondered briefly as if the thought was ridiculous. Of course he wouldn’t hurt her. She said to herself trying to calm herself. She had planned this perfectly, he would either explain, though she doubted he would, why he left her or he would die here tonight. She didn’t care that they were supposedly on the same team. Truthfully she didn’t know if they even were on the same side. The Kobby she knew wasn’t someone she would have thought would have joined the deatheaters.
“Expelliarmus” she said quietly focusing her energy on his wand. She didn’t like how he was still gripping it. It worried her but she wouldn’t have admitted that to him or anyone else. Not anymore.

Kobby snorted. If she wasn't going to listen, he wasn't going to try. Yes, kobby missed her and as he looked at her he thought about it even more and he groaned.
"Jesus Christ Cay.." he muttered in a soft tone. Cay was what he use to call her when they had been together and shaking his head he said nothing.
He felt a tug on on his wand, and muttered a counter-course. Kobby wouldn't put his wand down. He wouldn't attack her, but it was obvious that she was angry and Kobby knew better than anyone that people did things they wouldn't normally do when angery. Kobby himself wasn't angry, but he was frustrated. He was frustrated at the fact that she had just dissappeared and didn't tell anyone. That she would listen to anything he had tried to say.
"Look, I know that I hurt you but when you left and no one knew what had happened to you I fell apart" He wasn't going to mention the wand thing, it was unimportant at the moment.
"I didn't want to miss you forever, so I tried not to think about you and eventually it just became a habit to avoid your memory"
Kobby knew that what he was saying wasn't going to make her feel any better, but she needed to understand that he has a life and in order to live it he had to move on.
"you can't blame me for wanting to be happy. and what about you? You didn't think you should tell anyone?" he was closer to her now.. It was odd that he was moving closer to her when he wasn't thinking about it.
"Cay, I thought you were dead. I'm not god, I can't bring people back to life so i stopped waiting for you to come back"

Caileigh couldn’t believe her ears. He was trying to turn this around on her. Well that just wasn’t going to work well for her. She barely registered that his wand was still in his hand. She was only mildly concerned about that at this point
“Don’t, “She started to say her voice coming close to breaking with emotion. “Don’t try to blame this on me” She finished keeping her voice strong, she wasn’t going to give him the satisfaction of seeing her fall apart. “You left me first” she finally stated after a long pause between each statement. Things were not going as planned.
“Besides” She continued her voice growing in strength as she forced her emotions back. She wasn’t going to give in to them. They would only lead her to pain. “I had things to do.”
Riley reached into her boot and pulled out her wand finally addressing the fact that his was still out. She wasn’t going to be unprotected when he was going to start placing the blame on her. She held it loosely in her hand as she crossed her arms in front of her. It was a defense mechanism, she knew that, but she couldn’t help herself. She was starting to appear weak. That was not good.
She almost lost it at her old nickname. No one had called her that in years. No one had said her name with so much emotion since . . . well since the last time she had seen him. No she forcefully told herself he’s trying to break you. Don’t let him.

"I'm not blaming you, I'm simply asking. Why wouldn't you tell anyone you were ok? Try to contact someone and let us know? And yes Cay, we broke up but I never stopped caring about you. And I thought I was over it, I can't remember the last time I thought about you but now that our here.." Kobby let his voice fall short, not wanting to finish the sentence. he didn't care if he seemed to weak to her, he wasn't concerned with appearances.
What things could she have to do that would stop her from letting those she cared about that she wasn't dead? Kobby could be gone for months at a time as well, but he always made sure his sister knew she was okay. That was horrible, to think his sister was miserable on account of him.
"And I can't believe you would have thought that I wouldn't have still been there, after everything you had been through and everything that I knew? There isn't anything you couldn't have told me Cay" Kobby saw her wand, but he ignored, taking another step toward her.

Caileigh was starting to get uncomfortable. He was close. He was so close that she could feel his body heat close to her. She could smell his intoxicating scent. It was unbearable. “I wasn’t aloud.” She said plainly, ignoring his closeness although it was difficult.
She shivered. Was it from the cold or was it from Kobby? Was it because he kept saying her old nickname? Was it because of how close he was? Or was it really just the cold that was affecting her like this. She convinced herself that it was just the cold as she pulled her coat closer to her body.
“There’s plenty I couldn’t tell you.” Caileigh stated flatly. “Or at least things I shouldn’t have told you.” She continued almost as if to herself, thinking back to when he found out about her eating disorder. “I was under orders to tell no one, not that it would have mattered to you anyway” She finished rolling her eyes. “So stop pretending that you care”

Kobby was ready to just give up.
"Fine, you don't want an explanation so what are you doing here?" He eyed her with a few things on his face. First off, it was apparent that this was confusing him. She was here, but why she was here he had no idea. Second, he was slightly pissed off at her at the moment. Yeah, he broke up with her but he hadn't just left to never be seen again like she had. At any moment, She could have easily found out where he was. Third? She was just plain out being a bitch. Kobby didn't deserve this, he was young when they broke up and at that time he didn't fully understand what it was she was going through. If it were the same situation today, with him being older he would know how to help her.
Kobby noticed she had shivered but he could care less about her body temperature right now. For all he cared, she could freeze if she didn't tell him what she was doing here. he had the right to know that much, after so many years.

Riley rolled her eyes, “Same old Kobby” She said chuckling sarcastically. “Always in such a hurry for answers.” She continued to hold her arms to her chest, keeping her coat close to her. “Maybe I just missed you” she said calmly, actually telling him the truth. Whether he believed it or not was entirely up to him.
She forced her way into his mind once again with a sense of curiosity. She wanted to know if he was being sincere. She found it hard to believe but all she found was sincerity, that and annoyance. She sighed. Maybe he was being sincere. After all the were both young back then but it didn’t take away from the fact that he left her alone with no one when she needed him the most.
She watched him closely. He still hadn’t backed away from her so she kept a tighter grip on her wand. She didn’t know what he was capable of when he was this annoyed. For all she knew he had changed just like her.

"I'm nothing like I was in that castle Cay" He said with a bit of louder tone. That got to him, because it was true. Kobby was worth something now, and not just the scared kid he use to be. Hogwarts was rough for him, because noone but Cay knew about his parents being dead.
"What if this was turned around? You know for a fact that if I just turned up and found you, you would want to know why and what happened to me. I dont' give a shit if you weren't suppose to tell me, I loved you Cay.." Kobby shut his mouth after that. God, this was horrible. Kobby had never told her that before, and as he watched her he merely shook his head and turned to walk away.
"If you came here to be a btich, consider your job done.."

Caileigh froze at his words. Her mouth dropped slightly. She was in shock. Feeling her arms drop to her side and her wand fall out of her hand, all she could do was stare. He had never told her that before. Not even when they were dating. Not even when she had let it slip right before he had left her.
She stared at him as he started to walk away. What was she supposed to say now? All she had wanted the whole time they were together was to have heard those three words and now here they were, years later and he was just going to walk away and she was going to let him.
“Wait!” She yelled after finally finding her voice again. She wasn’t going to let him go this easy. He hadn’t even explained yet. “What did you just say?” She asked in barely above a whisper.

Kobby sighed when she yelled at him to wait. Is that what to took for her listen to him? For him to tell her something he never wanted to tell anyone, it was dangerous for him to love anyone and though he wasn't currently in love with her Kobby would always love her. He didn't know if the love he had before would ever come back, but he knew she was still there and he couldn't just walk away.
"I loved you, and you just left. No goodbye, no explaination" He turned around, but stayed where he was. He took her in and knew that she hurting, it would have been obvious even to a complete stranger.
"And then you just show up out of nowhere with no warning and treat as if I'm some poor excuse for a house elf" Kobby was a dick to women, but he would never hurt someone that he truely cared about. Yeah, when he broke it off with Caileigh he knew that he had hurt her, but it wasn't on purpose. Kobby was only a kid then, but Caileigh still cared for him. He knew that much, and here she was trying to hurt him.
"I don't owe you anything Cay" Kobby pointed to himself and shook his head slightly. His tone was softer now, but all he could think about was that she knew after all this years how he had felt.
